Cuba this ‘n that

Cuba is full of cars from the 50’s, due to the embargo. You have to be pretty well-to-do to maintain them and afford gas.  Many are taxis ‘cause drivers get tips.   Pink is popular for taxis, as are convertibles, as fresh air is preferable to no AC.

And there is laundry hung on balconies all through the city.  Of course they have nowhere else to dry the clothes, the apartments being very small, and they can’t afford washers or dryers.

Seeing parts of Cuba seems a bit like stepping back into the past.
